Hard Drive (Productivity) Kit
The Hard Drive (Productivity) Kit includes a 320 GB HDD that enables additional features while expanding capacity for other features.
With Hard Drive:
This hard drive helps to reduce the wait time when printing larger documents and in busy offices with multiple users sharing the same printer. When a hard drive is fitted the printer receives the whole print job and processes and completes everything on board, without buffering or pausing. The hard drive makes it possible to scan large documents and scan whilst the printer is printing. The printer is always available.
All Internet connected cloud services are available and all apps fully functional.
Without Hard Drive:
Without the hard drive jobs often fail to print due to the overload of the small standard memory. Jobs can print slowly due to the need to use your PC to buffer printing. If you are in a busy office with multiple users, the printer may be unavailable and jobs cannot be accepted by the printer, due to the memory being full.
Scanning will be unavailable if the printer is printing. The size of documents you are able to scan will be limited due to the small standard memory.
Some cloud and internet connected apps need the hard drive to function.
